Here Is the ‘OFFICIAL BIO’
I am an Empowerment and Mindset Life Coach, a graduate of the Jay Shetty Certification School. I love taking my clients to the next level, especially when it comes to reaching their desired goals.
Prior to Life Coaching, in 2000 I graduated Sigma Phi Alpha from the NYU Dental Hygiene Program, an honour bestowed to the top 10% of the class. I’ve been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 21 years.
I thrive on motivating and inspiring others. I was a Certified Spin Instructor for 6 years, teaching at the YMCA and the former Steve Nash Fitness World. I love being active and ran four full marathons in 2 years and 10+ half-marathons in 5 years. I love helping others live their best life possible. Change isn’t easy but is very rewarding. I am passionate and ready to serve you. I also celebrated my first anniversary of living my life alcohol-free on June 1, 2021.
Here Is the ‘REAL BIO’
I experienced physical, mental, verbal and sexual abuse as a child. I was in a semi- arranged marriage to a man who was emotionally abusive for 3.5 years.
I moved across the continent and lived in NYC for 3 years and Greenwich, CT, for 7 years. I know firsthand what it feels like to live with guilt and shame. I also know both guilt and shame love secrecy, and that is the way they grow within us. I used to enjoy drinking, especially wine, but one June 1st I celebrated 1 year living an alcohol-free life. I did not do a 12-step program, as wonderful as it is. I changed my mindset on how I viewed alcohol. I have forever changed the way I view alcohol and how it serves me. I do not rule out drinking again and if I do I know it will never be the way I drank before changing my mindset. I battled weight issues most of my life, especially in my childhood, because of all the abuse I endured. I am all too familiar with yo-yo dieting. I overcame all of it by changing my perspective. Every experience, the good, the bad, the shameful, the guilt-ridden, started to add to my inner strength and not my weakness. Change big or small starts with building on small habits and making big priorities to get to your big goal. I can show you how to do that.
